Shoemaking classes are coming soon!

This Fall, I’m developing shoemaking class in the Allston area of Boston! Together, over a series classes themed around one style of footwear, we’ll create a custom pair, so that you can walk away wearing your own creation!

Our first workshop will be centered around classic vulcanized and cup-sole shoes, in the vein of the Chuck Taylor, Vans Classic, or Stan Smith. Students will adhere to a general pattern, but given enough freedom to customize them by choosing low-tops, high-tops, various fabric or leathers, embellishment, and painting.

Students will be given a pattern, coloring pages for designing their shoes, and a 3D printed form (called a last) to build the shoe around. Most materials will be provided, but bringing your own fabric and leather is highly encouraged.

I’m working mindfully to create a streamlined course curriculum, that will set everyone up for success, even with minimal to no footwear experience.
